WE RESPECT YOUR PRIVACY

eVALUA Pty Ltd, throughout its business and administrative operations, is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE STORE?

The type of information that is collected by the eVALUA+™ hosted electronic tendering and evaluation system can be broken down into three distinct groups. They are:

  • System information
  • Tendering Details
  • Notification Details

Each of these groups is described below:

  • System information : When you look at the pages on the eVALUA+™ site, our computers automatically record information that identifies, for each page accessed:
    • the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the machine which has accessed it (if a proxy server exists between the your computer and the server, this address will be the address of the proxy, rather than the originating machine),
    • the date and time of your visit to the site;
    • the pages accessed and documents downloaded;
    • the previous site visited; and
    • the type of browser and operating system you have used.
  • Tendering Details : When you become a registered user of our system you are asked to provide the following information; some of which (those marked with *) are mandatory:
    • *Email Address
    • *Login Name
    • *Password
    • *First Name
    • *Last Name
    • *Organisation\Business\Company Name
    • Australian Business Number ( ABN) Business / Trading Number (if applicable)
    • Street Address
    • Town/City
    • Postcode
    • * Province /State/ Territory
    • *Country
    • *Daytime Phone Number
    • Fax Number
  • Notification Details : Registered users who select to use the notification service offered within eVALUA+™# (you must register your details to use the service) are required to identify the kinds of tenders that they are interested in being notified about.  This means that the following details may also be sought and recorded:
    • Keyword(s)
    • Location
    • Category
    • Estimated Value of Opportunities

Note#: The Notification Service is not active in eVALUA+™ Version 1.0 but will be a feature of eVALUA+™ Version 2.0.

HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION COLLECTED?

The three different groups of information (described above) are treated differently, as follows:

System information

The information collected during each visit is aggregated with similar logged information and published in reports in order for eVALUA Pty Ltd to identify patterns of usage of the system. This will assist us in improving the system and the services offered.

eVALUA Pty Ltd will not disclose or publish information that identifies individual machines, or potentially identifies sub-groupings of addresses, without consent or otherwise in accordance with Australian privacy laws.

Tendering Details

This information is used to identify who has registered on the eTenderBox™ system. The system records these records for the business of tendering in such instances as when a registrant downloads or orders documentation (purchased or otherwise). This also applies when a registrant lodges a tender response.

A good example of the use of this information is if a tender has changed since it was published on the system.  Then those registrants who have collected that specific tender will be sent an email to let them know that it has changed.

This information is not used for any purpose other than tendering related matters or the support of registrants in the use of the eTenderBox™ system.

Notification Details

These details are used only within the eTenderBox™ system to determine who should be sent notification about tenders.

WHAT EXCEPTIONS ARE THERE?

eVALUA+™ will collect, use and disclose information stated above in the following circumstances:

  • where another purchasing agency participates in eTenderBox™ (by publishing tender opportunities on the eTenderBox™ system), they will also be given access to the information above. These other agencies receive the information on the understanding that it will not be used for any purpose that is not tendering related.
  • unauthorised attempts to access files that are not published pages of the eTenderBox™ system;
  • unauthorised tampering or interference with files published on the eVALUA+™ site;
  • unauthorised attempts to index the contents of the eTenderBox™ system by other sites;
  • attempts to intercept messages of other users of the eVALUA+™ site;
  • communications which are defamatory, abusive, vilify individuals or groups or which give rise to a suspicion that an offence is being committed; and
  • attempts to otherwise compromise the security of the web server, breach the laws of the Province of Ontario and the Dominion of Canada, or interfere with the enjoyment of the eTenderBox™ system by other users.
  • eVALUA Pty Ltd reserves the right to make disclosures to relevant authorities where the use of the eTendering system raises a suspicion that an offence is being, or has been, committed.  In the event of an investigation, eVALUA Pty Ltd will provide access to data to any law enforcement agency that may exercise a warrant to inspect our records.

IS THE INFORMATION STORED SECURELY?

Information collected is stored in an appropriately secure format and held by eVALUA+™ for archival purposes.

DO WE USE 'COOKIES'?

The eVALUA+™ Web servers are able to use "cookie" technology to keep track of the Web browsers with which they are communicating.

During a cookie transaction, a Web server will hand a Web browser some data prescribed by the Web site's developers.  The Web browser will return that data with its next request for content from the Web site.  Using this technology, it is possible for an application running on a Web server to distinguish one Web browser's activity from another.

WHEN DO WE USE COOKIES

The eVALUA+™ Web servers will make use of such cookies when required to identify ongoing sessions with individual online visitors: for example, to associate a particular visitor with his or her own purchases when they are making online payments.

HOW WE USE COOKIES

In all cases, the cookie data eVALUA+™ Web servers may hand your browser contain only "session" identifying information which may be stored on your computer.  No other personal information is passed to your browser.

On our end, cookie-related data is not permanently stored on eVALUA+™ Web servers.  Information stored temporarily in our cookie collection may include the contents of a shopping cart, but never includes a visitor's name or address or sensitive data such as a credit card number -- even when a credit card is being used for online payment.

Further, eVALUA Pty Ltd does not match for its records any session-identifying cookie information with the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses described above in the information on monitoring Web-Site Traffic.

DATASECURITY

The eVALUA Pty Ltd is committed to the security of personal information it may collect online or offline.   eVALUA Pty Ltd has taken reasonable precautions to protect this personal information from loss, misuse or alteration.  Any third parties who may have roles in managing such information on behalf of eVALUA Pty Ltd are also committed to the same principles.

WE MAY LINK TO OTHER WEB SITES

The eVALUA+™ Web site may include links to Web pages or sites operated by third parties.  We endeavour to make it clear that certain links will take you away from our site and to destinations over which we have no control.

Our privacy policy does not apply to the sites of third parties to which we link.  Instead, we encourage you to review the policies of these sites yourself upon your arrival.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES

eVALUA Pty Ltd may modify this policy from time to time.  If that happens, notification of such changes will be posted along with the latest version of this privacy statement.
